MHM PRESENTS - TRIBUTE CONCERT TO LONG JOHN BALDRY
Upcoming - An inspirational, celebratory event in Vancouver is being organized to celebrate the life of Blues legend and mentor Long John Baldry Included are many personal and musical friends whose lives were touched and his remarkable style. Mark Hall Management is spearheading the efforts that will culminate in feelings of joy and inspiration. Direct contact has been made and received from the management teams associated with such legendary musical artists who knew and performed with Long John including Rod Stewart, Sir Elton John, Sir Paul McCartney, Eric Clapton, and the Rolling Stones.

Long John Baldry's amazing musical legacy, if properly notated would fill a few pages in any Rock encyclopedia. Long John's forty-five year career is a rich tapestry of recording, performing, acting as well as a creator of great bands and discoverer of rich talent. Long John is particularly known for his associations with former band members Rod Stewart and Elton John. Look closely at LJB's musical tree. You will discover virtually every musician who came up in England during the 60's have some connection to LJB. Names like Ginger Baker, Jeff Beck, Brian Jones, The Beatles, Eric Clapton, and The Rolling Stones are cemented in LJB's musical history. In fact, Eric Clapton has stated many times that he was inspired to pick up a guitar after seeing Long John Baldry perform in the early 1960s.Long John was one of the founding Fathers of British Rock n' Roll in the 60s. Without his presence the scene, particularly the Blues scene, may have been quite different.
